Chris Challis

Personal Trainer & Wellness Coach

Hi everyone, my name is Chris and I am a former Royal Marines Commando, now working in the world of health and fitness. I have forty years of physical training experience and have competed in several sports from judo to triathlon. My fitness passion is weight training, circuit training and (being a massive foodie) nutrition.

After a 24-year career as a Royal Marine, I went on to serve a further 6 years in the Royal Marines Reserves alongside a full-time "day job" in Bournemouth. Just so I didn't get bored, I went on to work in both the maritime security world and bizarrely, as an English teacher at a Chinese University, in China. None of this has been plain sailing or an easy path to follow. I have two grown-up daughters and three grandchildren. Juggling family life, career, working abroad, and maintaining my own physical and mental fitness has been the greatest, ongoing challenge, but one that I always enjoy.

These experiences have helped me develop my passion for helping people realise, plan and achieve their physical and mental goals. May this be functional or general fitness, preparing for a holiday or a wedding. Or maybe, just to feel better about themselves and live the life they want. Originally I did this with family, friends, and colleagues. I now call upon my background to help anyone who wishes to improve, enhance or change their life, no matter how small the changes.

My constant aim is to be the very best mentor, coach, and friend that I can be. To do this I still use these values and ethos which has been my cornerstone - Integrity, self-discipline, and humility. Determination, unselfishness, and cheerfulness.

So, if your goal is to have fun, challenge yourself and make positive changes come and see me!
