Our clinicians will also routinely assess postural, pelvic and spinal alignment as well as carrying out any biomechanical assessments if required.

How long is each session?
Assessments can be 45 minutes in duration and follow up treatment sessions can be up to 30 minutes long. We offer a range of times during the week, evenings and weekends. We require 48hr notice for cancellation or full charge for the appointment is made.

Which is best private Physiotherapy or NHS Physiotherapy?
Many Physiotherapists move into private clinics with enhanced clinical skills to offer improved quality of care. This means they are not governed by time, number of sessions or the types of treatment they can provide. Private clinics can offer appointments at very short notice making people suffering with pain easier to access and making any problem easier to improve without the delay of many weeks of a general practitioners referral to an NHS service.
The standards we expect from our staff
Our Chartered Physiotherapists are all registered with the Chartered Society of Physiotherapy (CSP) and members of the Health Professionals Council (HPC) who monitor the competence to practice. We also ensure our staff have worked a minimum of 5 years post qualification in a variety of setting from sports teams, the NHS and other private organisations. As well as staff continuing with their own skill development we encourage and support further clinical training, mentoring and support. We may randomly ask clients who have attended the clinic to fill in a short anonymous questionnaire to rate the level of service received which will help us to improve our service in the future where necessary.
What type of problems can Physiotherapy help with?
The lists of joint, muscular and neurological problems are endless. From pain management, post operative care and rehabilitation, spinal manipulations, and steroid joint injections, our Physiotherapists are highly skills clinicians able to assess many conditions and determine if they can influence and help your problem. What does the assessment/treatment involve?
You will complete a health form which helps determine any health related issues that may be contributing to your problem. The Physiotherapist will ask a series of questions to determine your current problem. They will conduct a physical examination which will involve a series of movements and tests to determine the source or nature of the condition. Treatment will be based upon your treatment plan and may require hands on therapy or conducting exercises in the gym.
Do I need to see my doctor first?
No. You can book directly into the clinic. If you are claiming your treatment fees via your insurance, check your policy to ensure you do not need a referral from your doctor. If you are using your insurance please bring your documents with you.
How many sessions will I need?
This will depend on your condition or problem. Rarely do we manage to relieve or restore full function after the first session but could extend to several sessions. Generally the longer you have the problem, the longer it takes to achieve your goals. Early assessment and treatment is essential.
Do you have a cancellation or absence fee policy?
Yes, like all services we run a policy of requiring 48 hours’ notice to cancel your appointment otherwise you will be charged the full amount. This also includes failing to attend any planned appointments. From time to time we may need to rearranging your appointment, should this occur, we will rearrange to meet your needs.
